Lakeside Lodge, Bassenthwaite Lake (sleeps 2-3)

Lakeside Lodge is a detached self catering property quietly situated in the rear garden of Lakeside Country Guest House.

This non-smoking self catering accommodation, has been recently refurbished to the highest standard to offer modern, open plan accommodation for stylish living.

The owners Sharon and Arnie Helling have incorporated thoughtful touches to offer all the comforts that you would expect from home. A warm, comfortable and up to date base to make your holiday special.

The location is superb being just 100 metres from the shoreside of Bassenthwaite Lake and the surrounding fells of Skiddaw. Yet less than 10 minutes drive to either the bustling tourist town of Keswick or the quieter Georgian Town of Cockermouth (the birth place of William Wordsworth).

The interior is well appointed with a lounge/kitchen which has laminate flooring with brightly coloured rugs and throws to contrast with the neutral decor.

Interesting prints and furniture which the owners have collected on their travels add to the style. The comfortable chocolate leather bedsettee can provide additional sleeping. There is a colour TV/DVD player and the subtle spotlights and lamps create a relaxing ambience.

The kitchen is well equipped and has crockery/glassware for 8 persons and a dishwasher to take care of the dirty dishes. A gas hob, fullsize electric oven and microwave makes cooking easier and there is of course a fridge with freezer box.

There is an iron  and hairdrier provided in the Lodge.

The bathroom is the place to be after a long day walking the fells. You can take a long relaxing bath or an invigorating power shower. Both bathroom and toilet are on the ground floor and oversized fluffy white bath towels are provided.

The double bedroom is reached by a hand crafted staircase and is a fashionable mezzanine gallery-style. It's a light and bright, spacious area with real wood flooring, colour TV, double wardrobe and a big window with lovely views over meadows and fields.

Radio alarm clock and hairdryer are provided.

The small south facing garden has pleasant views to open fields and trees. Garden furniture is available for al fresco dining. There is private parking for 2 cars beside the garden.

The Lodge is centrally heated and provides constant hot water all inclusive in the tariff.

Children, babies and well behaved dogs are welcome.

Cots not provided.

Lakeside Lodge operates a strict non smoking policy.

Please phone Sharon on 017687 76358. A deposit of £100 is required by card at time of reservation. Balance is due 6 weeks prior to arrival.

On arrival please call at the Guest House for keys. Sharon or Arnie will show you to your self catering accommodation.

The owners are generally on hand to help with questions etc but your privacy is also respected entirely.
