About Lakeside Country Guest House

The house has panelled Oak floors with 8 comfortably furnished bedrooms (7 en suite) offering colour TV, radio alarms, hair dryer, shoe cleaning and tea/coffee making facilities.

We offer two superior bedrooms which are more spacious than the Standard Bedrooms. They have large windows which look directly out to the magnificent view of peaceful Bassenthwaite Lake and Skiddaw mountain range beyond. Both have en-suite shower rooms, and double or twin beds. Guests have access at all times to their bedroom.

The comfortable lounge overlooks the lake; there you can relax, select a book from the library, play chess, watch TV or simply browse through the local information folder. In the evening the Lounge is the ideal place to meet fellow Guests. Ample Parking is available within the grounds.

The impressive hallway is the first glimpse of the interior of this outstanding house that will be your home for the duration of your stay. Original oak panelling and oak floors plus 100 year old stained glass windows and doors add to the charm and character of this enchanting place.
